Attack Of The Jack-O-Lantern/The Scarecrow Walks At Midnight

the clock struck midnight
the moon was full
and out of the mist
came the jack-o-lantern
like demons they came
with a mouth
full of teeth
and looks of the dead
blood was smeared across their mouths
a feast had just finished
birds were the meal
ravens to be specific
they knew the battle was about to commence
the scarecrow walks at midnight
tells ol' folklore
they creep off their posts not to scare crows
but to terrorize the local towns people
tattered and torn faces, burnt clothes
the life of the scarecrow was a tragic one
faces so horrific they could ward off any creature
because of this they had to destroy
every full moon the scarecrow and the jack-o-lantern would wage war
the massacres would last for hours on end
up until sunrise came again
between the two clans
everything went as usual, that is up until halloween night
the two had waited for this night all year
and this halloween was going to be the final war
the clan of jack-o-lantern were ready
their army strong and witty
the clan of scarecrows were ready
bold and fierce they were
march! yelled the head pumpkin
"the battle begins now
tonight straw will be shed!"
they marched into the streets and began terrorizing children
they were ready; they were prepared
the clans both met in the field
"pumpkin tonight we fight and end it once and for all!" yelled a scarecrow
an arrow was fired and a scarecrow fell
they charged at each other with great power
shot after shot, stab after stab
bodies fell like snowflakes
limbs were everywhere
hours past, and the sun began to rise
only one remained standing in the end
the children, trick-or-treaters
stood there smiling
they had made both fall
they had eaten the pumpkins
and torn apart the scarecrow
the children tonight were victorious
