the night was still
all that could be heard were the waves
father sun had given into mother moon
birds in the distance
stars in the horizon
then there were two
you & i
completely in sync.

infinity blues
so let them all go now... into the blue
where they can live like nothing before
small town girl, nothing to show for
nothing to live for
five foot four, long dark hair
born in the month of july
thou she tried her hardest, she never quite got there
till she met with the lord and ran with the devil
see her now still running in the cold, cold rain
showing a bit more after the struggle
standing in the starlight, completly motionless
i lover her all too much, yet nothing to show for
wishing she could just run back into my arms
yet it just won't happen
so let them all go now... into the blue
love me like you did on your birthday
here i am... standing
small town boy, with nothing at his feet
but i can give you whatever you need
have mercy for my poor heart and quit running away
this is the last show we'll ever have before the devil comes for me
and throws me straight into the blue
please sweet mercy, let me go, let me run
here she comes, but not alone
a showdown is about to commence, one i know i cannot walk away from
my pain is felt over ocean and desert
the duel is done and i'm caught in an endless dream
with a cheap cigarette and a box full of matches
while i am left here
you still run into the blue
where they can live like nothing before
small town girl, nothing to show for
nothing to live for
five foot four, long dark hair
born in the month of july
thou she tried her hardest, she never quite got there
till she met with the lord and ran with the devil

while i am left here
you still run into the blue
a summer beneath the trees
when you see the light, just keep running
run twords what you know is right
your dying and you know exactly why
but you feel your time isin't quite up
the gun in his hand, the roses on the ground
the scene of the massacre is here
a summer beneath the trees is what you always wanted
but your final stand is here and now
something didn't go quite right, everything is missed
and not taken into account for
this is just the calm before the storm
a life so secure, never pushed out into the real world
kicked in the face, a rebel you've become
young at the tender age of just eighteen
everything is not at your feet
when you see the light, just keep running
run twords what you know is right
your dying and you know exactly why
but you feel your time isin't quite up
a fatal mistake has been made
after a drink or two and a blackout on coke
nothis is as it's suppose to be
the world is turned upside down
and there you lay with a bullet in your head
and a heart filled with love
a summer beneath the trees you'll never see
just a life time chasing that bright, bright light
run twords what you know is right
your dying and you know exactly why
but you feel your time isin't quite up
the gun in his hand, the roses on the ground
the scene of the massacre is here
a summer beneath the trees is what you always wanted
